The band's fresh approach to both music and ministry is evident as their music journeys through a deluge of human emotion. From conquering the shackles of hopelessness in "Hold My Hand" to surrendering yourself to God's will in "Write My Story," to the powerful declaration of "Here's Me Letting Go," the band delivers infectious harmonies alongside a rock infused pop bounce, akin to bands like Relient K, Blink 182 and New Found Glory, while carefully establishing their own identity in today's crowded music scene.

"Write My Story" on Audio Frenzy Records (Infinity Music Distribution) captures snapshots of life. The disc was produced by award winning songwrtiter/guitarist/producer Barry Blair (Bleach, Finding Favour, Candlefuse) and mixed by Dove & Grammy "Producer of the Year" nominee Brian Hardin (Manic Drive, Paul Alan). The track "Love You More" also features a guest appearance by former PETRA bass player Greg Bailey on cello.

What are promoters saying about Air Five shows?

3/28/09  Hendersonville, TN (16th Birthday Concert) - Unbelievable! I cannot say enough about Air 5. We had rain, tornado warnings, and then cold, very cold weather. Did I happen to mention this was outdoors? They went on with the show like it was sunny and 85. At the end came the complaining neighbor. They turned off the "Awesome" sound system, grabbed some acoustic guitars and finished the show. This ended up being my sons favorite part of the show. His friends are still talking about the party, the band, and how great it was. Thank you Air 5 from the bottom of my heart for making his "16th" birthday unforgettable. I will never forget you. Oh yeah, and man can they sing!
-- Laurie Meador

3/8/08 Lawton OK (16th Birthday Concert) - An amazing band with extraordinary talent! There are a lot of bands that sound better on their CD than they do live however Air Five's live performance sounded better than their CD. They are an up and coming band with songs that have a lot of drive, a strong melody line, excellent vocal/harmonies as well as are memorable. I highly recommend the band without reservation. If your looking for a good group of guys that are professional, spend a lot of time with the audience after their performance and have a great live performance you better book Air Five before they make it "Big".

1/15/08 ChargeRadio.com   Air Five - Write My Story (CD of the Month)
Everyone Will Share The Story of Your Wonderful Goodness. They Will Sing With Joy About Your Righteousness - Psalm 145:7 (NLT)

In their song, "Write My Story", Air 5 expresses an intention of the heart that all Christians should share, that we would surrender to the Lord and let the Creator of Heaven and Earth direct our paths and write the story of our lives. This simple sentiment seems easier said then done, how often do we hand the pen to the Lord so that He can write the script and then grab anxiously at the paper wanting to know how the story will unfold? And when the tale is not to our liking how often do we get back in the director’s chair insisting that somehow we can fix the “problems” in the story line?

As Air 5 suggests in this powerful song, we begin broken because when we live a life that is not surrendered to God, we are in fact writing our own stories. Stories that are incomplete, with wrong turns, sometimes containing selfishness, deceit and on occasion plot twists that could make a soap opera look tame. For some of us who are writing our own stories, it is as simple as refusing to acknowledge the Lord of our lives, committing what we would define as no great sin – except refusing to give up our will so we can let the Lord be the author and finisher of our faith.

Refusing to let the Lord lead us in life results in something akin to a dirty story, one in which we need the Lord to wipe our pages clean. As Christians we profess to have hearts that burn for the Lord and yearn for Him above all else, but sometimes we have a bit of trouble trusting Him to bring our story to a satisfactory end.

What we have to remember and what Air 5 reminds us, is that the Lord has a perfect plan for us, a path He chose for us when He laid the foundation of the world. When we allow the Lord to lead us, to write our stories, we experience the blessings of the Lord even in times when we face storylines that are uncomfortable, fearful, bring pain, or doubt.

The Lord has great plans for our lives, and they are not just for us, they are for the blessings of others. If our lives are a story then daily we must decide who is going to be the author. When we let the Lord write the stories not only do we walk into our purpose in life, we are able to point others to the truth of who He is. We get an opportunity to share His story – how He gave His life as a sacrifice for the lost and dying. When we let the Lord write our stories we become as Air 5 states “a tool for His glory” and we get to introduce to others the unfailing love of the Savior while finding that at the conclusion of our own stories a reward greater then we can imagine waits for us.

This month, practice surrender and let the Lord write the stories of your life!

9/2/07  Johnson City, TN (SHOUTfest Tour) - Hey Guys, I met you on Sept. 2 in Johnson City at the Shoutfest concert. I was with my 2 sons and they had their picture taken with you and had you autograph a cd. I just want to thank you for being so nice to them. My oldest son is just getting into music. He has even started working on learning how to play the guitar. He is at such an impressionable age and I want him listening to Christian music that is giving him a good message and will be uplifting to his spirit. He was really looking forward to this concert. He had been wanting your cd ever since he heard it played at our local Lifeway Christian Bookstore. He was very excited to know that you would be playing at the concert. I was glad that he got to meet you in person and you were so friendly to both of my sons. My youngest son was excited to meet you too. Like I said before I just wanted to thank you for being so nice to them and giving them good music to listen to. I wish you guys the best in your musical career. I hope the Lord truly Blesses you.
-- Mom and new fan of AIR FIVE

4/20/07  Concord, NC (Lutheran Youth Organization Rally) - Just wanted you to know what an awesome job the guys did at our LYO Rally. The Kids LOVED them and they were such down to earth guys… We really loved the guys and hope to have them cover another event in the future!!
-- Liz Fisher / Youth Staffer

4/20/07  Atlanta, GA (Whitefield Academy School Concert) - They surpassed all of my expectations. They performed for a wide variety of ages and personalities, and were able to adjust to the crowd beautifully. They are extremely talented, very profewssional and easy to work with, and a true pleasure to experience. Many of our students expressed that it was the best performance they could remember! I will be looking for an opportunity to have them back again, as will students and faculty. We will all be watching Air Five with great anticipation as their careers take off.
--Allyson W.

4/13/07  Rolla/Salem, MO  (Project Unity) - Thought you might want to know how things all turned out with Project Unity in Salem, Mo. last weekend. We ended up with 516 students, 114 adult sponsors, an estimated 15 decisions made for Christ, over 120 notes brought and nailed to the crosses representing their being turned over to God, and get this stat: 51 different congregations working together to make it all happen.

The night was the best out of the 7 years we've been doing this and Air5 was a huge part of it's success. I only had a moment during the chaos to speak with you guys but your servant hearts were evident to me and everyone else. I just want to say thank you for doing what you do by ministering to our world and I pray that God will bless your efforts and multiply that blessing in your lives.

I hope that Project Unity was an encouragement to you about what God can do through his bride when we are obedient to Him and that you too will carry that message with you.  I look forward to seeing you again.
-- Your brother in Christ, Carl Williams

8/27/07  The J Man Review "Write My Story" by Air Five
IN A PHRASE: Good lyrics and comprehensive musicianship join together to create the sound of Air 5.

This is one of the most energetic CD’s of the year so far, and here’s why. Air 5 brings, to me at least, memories of my teens when I used to enjoy the striking back of the Super tones and was trying to figure out the direction of a new band named after a rare car, Reliant K.

More RK than Tones, Air 5 delivers positive messages directed toward students who have had the typical boyfriend/girlfriend experiences of heartache and restoration. The musicianship will be quickly noticed as these are a talented bunch of guys.

The great lyrics show through with songs like the title track and I Will Carry You which encourage listeners to depend on God no matter what they are facing. Please Don’t Change tackles a completely different subject as we experience the story of a broken relationship and how God and your own character can help you get through it.

Here’s Me Letting Go, Love You More, and Hold My Hand cry from a heart that has lost hope and desires the hope that lasts and the Love that died for all of us. Hold My Hand specifically deals with actions of cutting and contemplated suicide that can only be answered by Christ’s love portrayed by those who call Him friend.

Other great tracks are Open Season and One And Only.

My final word…
This album is positive lyrically while musically being the “Rolled Down Window” album of the year (so far).

Until Next Time…
The J Man
